No More Fatty Business

It's been a while since I've written. Things were pretty mucked up for a while. I gained about 10lbs while I was visiting my folks for the wedding. I need to learn not to drink so much, because a) alcohol is just empty calories, and b) I get hungry when I'm drunk and I'll actually eat because I'm drunk and I don't care. Then, nearly as soon as I got home, I had to move out of my lovely two-bedroom, one-bath flat in Hollywood, into a tiny, cramped studio in downtown, where everyone speaks Spanish, except for me. That was stressful, to say the least, and I wasn't really paying attention to my eating. I keep fluctuating between 123-125, which means I've got to lose nearly 10lbs to even just get back down to my lowest weight, let alone get down even more. I tried starting an ABC diet this week, i.e. Week One, eat only foods that start with the letter A, Week Two, eat only foods that start with the letter B, and so on and so forth. I did well on Sunday and Monday (apples and avocados). Ran into a bit of a problem on Tuesday, because we went to the spa and they didn't have anything that started with an A, and Sir wouldn't let me get away with not eating at all. Will have to think of a different strategy to employ for spa visits. Wednesday, the avocado I brought to work turned out to be rock hard and I couldn't eat it. Instead, I was a disgusting pig and ended up eating TWO peanut butter cookies (1000 calories!!!) and a bag of crisps (160 calories). I always get a stomach ache from the cookies, so it shouldn't be too hard to cut those out. I just need to remind myself how awful I always feel afterwards and then I won't be tempted. Decided to forgo the ABC diet for now and just get back to focusing on calories. So, from now on, it's coffee and low-calories foods, like apples, cucumbers, carrots, etc. I also went on a punishment hike today, two miles in a little over an hour. A few of us are planning a hike for Sunday, so that will be twice in less than a week. That should help. As long as I increase my exercise and decrease my calories, I should be able to lose at least 10lbs by Sir's birthday in August. I want to look pretty and skinny and perfect for Him. Wish me luck!
